African Flower first attempt

African flowers have captivated us ......
couldn´t wait to put in practice the tutorial we share on previous post from Cherry Heart blog.

I used some bits of left yarn from other project.
The result is pretty good,  but the colours combination needs to be adjusted
:-( ....... next will be yarn shopping  !!!

Spring colour basket

As we mentioned in our earlier post, we will be making some more XXL crochet.
This time in a fresh and cheerful colour that hints that spring is about to arrive….

Cushion for the cat´s chair

My buddy is enjoying the crochet  adventure ,her projects are very original and she creates her own patterns .

Our Cat (called Lucky ) has a favorite chair.
In the chair, she had a blanket to keep her warm, but it was really old…..

My daughter came with the idea to crochet a cushion for the chair and she created a lovely pattern in a fantastic coral pink,  which the cat seems to love!!

Crocheted African Flower Pincushion Tutorial

Pattern Links...

The African Flower motif is not my own pattern.  It is by Lounette Fourie & Anita Rossouw and the Ravelry page including links to the pattern and other translations and tutorials can be found here.

If you wish to download just the written directions for this pincushion you will need:

African Flower Motif pattern, which is listed on this Flickr page (scroll down for pattern). Be aware that this pattern is written in US crochet terms.
My pattern download to turn the motif into a pincushion, which can be found here. My pattern is written in UK crochet terms.
